iPhone Ranked Number One for Traffic Share in Mobile OS: Study

According to the Mobile Metrics Report by mobile advertising firm AdMob, Apple and Google dominate as a platform in the smartphone market. If you make a comparison for Smartphone Platform traffic in USA, the traffic share of iPhone has dropped from almost 70% in April 09 to approx 45% in Feb 10, but still it holds half of the traffic share .Also, the growth of Android OS is very significant in the last several months. It almost catches up the iPhone traffic share in this Feb, 2010 because more and more Android based Smartphones are coming in the market like Motorola Droid etc. The share of RIM has gradually declined, while WebOS and Windows Mobile remain pretty much saturated at the bottom.

If you consider global traffic, the iPhone still has a 50 percent share of AdMob traffic. Although, Symbian has good global market share, it's traffic continues to drop and there are chances that Symbian3 may reverse the trend later this year.Android also went up globally and nearly crossed Symbian. But, the rise is not that steep like USA. RIM, WebOS , and WinMob has minimal global traffic share.

You can notice something from Admob's data. The iPhone OS has witnessed significant success by introducing the iPhone and the iPod touch. As per AdMob data, 93 percent of MID (Mobile Internet Device) traffic comes from the iPod touch. Since theiPhone accounts for half of the Smartphone traffic, and almost all of the MID traffic, the iPhone OS holds for 40 percent of the total traffic share on AdMob's network.

Additionally, data from analytics firm Net Applications also shows the online dominance of iPhone. Net Applications measures relative platform user base from website pageviews. Its data still shows the iPhone OS accounted for 60 percent of mobile Web traffic among smartphone platforms globally. Symbian which is widely used in Nokia devices accounted 22 percent of mobile Web traffic. While Android and Windows Mobile, both of them tied up with 7 percent traffic.

Kerajaan Jeumpa, Kerajaan Islam Pertama Nusantara

Arnold, Crawfurd, Keijzer, Niemann, De Holander, SMN. Al-Attas, A. Hasymi, dan Hamka. i Arnold menyatakan para pedagang Arab menyebarkan Islam ketika mereka mendo...
