HTML5 memang masih terbilang baru dalam bahasa markah situs web. Hingga kini HTML5 masih terus dikembangkan, namun HTML5 dengan cepat mengalami peningkatan dari sisi grafis maupun animasi. HTML5 juga dimanfaatkan para pengembang untuk menciptakan game yang dimainkan melalui  browser  terkini. Tak perlu meng-install aplikasi, pengguna hanya butuh terkoneksi dengan internet dan sudah memiliki  browser , seperti Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, atau Internet Explorer, versi terbaru. Selain di komputer desktop dan laptop, game HTML5 juga bisa dimainkan melalui perangkat  mobile  yakni  smartphone  dan tablet.

Apple Store faced increasing criticism before for not being more open, Apple recently announced that there is a portion of its devices that is totally open:the Web. If developers do not like some of the restrictions of Apple store, they can build their new Web Apps. But, the critics think that this is the best interest of Apple so that people make native apps for their devices, not web apps that can be used anywhere. Apple's HTML 5 page on its site establishes the fact what you can do with the technology. There are seven unique things you can do using only HTML5: Video, Typography, Gallery, Transitions, Audio, 360, and VR. "Standards are not add-on to the web," says Apple. But, the odd is that you can only view those things using Apple's Safari Browser. You can not use other HTML5 compliant browser like Google Chrome. Apparently, Google is starting to roll out the Android 2.2 Froyo update to Nexus One devices. According to Vice President for Google engineering Vic Gundotra at the Google IO conference, Android 2.2, codenamed Froyo, is going to be five times faster at running apps and three times faster at browsing. You will be able to use the camera and voice recognition in the browser with Froyo. Web page and games run faster because the Android browser has the same V8 JavaScript engine as Chrome. "We think we can claim Froyo has the fastest mobile browser," said Gundotra. The Froyo browser incorporates HTML 5 features; Gundotra mentioned  the ones that let the browser access hardware features like the accelerometer for rotating the screen, the camera for taking photos in web apps like Buzz, and the microphone. All current versions of Windows are prone to external attack due to a flaw within the Java Web Start Framework. Two security researchers made this announcement yesterday about the flaw. The flaw could lead into very simple Web attacks, to fatal attack on the system. Researchers Tavis Ormandy and Ruben Santamartamade separate statements on this. That enables the attackers to send especially HTML tags from a Web page. All versions of Java SE 6 update 10 for Microsoft Windows are vulnerable to this attack. If you disable the plugin, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will be able to avoid the attack because the toolkit can be installed independently.

Adobe Reader and Flash will surpass Microsoft Office applications as favorite targets of cybercriminals, a security vendor predicted Tuesday. In unveiling its 2010 Threat Predictions report, McAfee said the growing popularity of the Adobe products has attracted the attention of cybercriminals, who have been increasingly targeting the applications. Adobe Reader and Flash are two of the most widely deployed applications in the world. As a result of Adobe's success in client software, McAfee Labs believes "Adobe product exploitation will likely surpass that of Microsoft Office applications in 2010."
