HTML5 memang masih terbilang baru dalam bahasa markah situs web. Hingga kini HTML5 masih terus dikembangkan, namun HTML5 dengan cepat mengalami peningkatan dari sisi grafis maupun animasi. HTML5 juga dimanfaatkan para pengembang untuk menciptakan game yang dimainkan melalui  browser  terkini. Tak perlu meng-install aplikasi, pengguna hanya butuh terkoneksi dengan internet dan sudah memiliki  browser , seperti Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, atau Internet Explorer, versi terbaru. Selain di komputer desktop dan laptop, game HTML5 juga bisa dimainkan melalui perangkat  mobile  yakni  smartphone  dan tablet.

Seperti dikutip dari   Macworld , Selasa (22/2/2011), seorang petinggi Mozilla, Christian Legnitto, mengatakan bahwa Beta 12 ini seharusnya merupakan versi Final Beta. Namun karena masih perlunya beberapa perbaikan, kemungkinan Beta 13 akan hadir. "Rencananya Beta 12 merupakan versi Beta terakhir, tetapi kami masih memerlukan Beta 13 jika kembali ditemukan masalah pada Beta 12," ujar Legnitto. Mozilla mendapat tekanan berat dari pesaing mereka, Microsoft , yang akan segera merilis Internet Explorer 9 . Microsoft menjanjikan akan merilis web browser terbaru mereka itu pada kuartal pertama 2011.

T he CEO of Mozilla, Mr. John Lilly is ready to step down from his post at open source software non-profit organization. Lily confirmed this via an email message to Mozilla employees. He is going to move to Greylock Partners as  a venture partner. Lilly took over from Mitchell Baker as company CEO in 2008. Initially, he served as company COO. Lilly will continue to serve as board of director of the company. Mozilla makes differentsoftware products and the landmark one is the Firefox Browser . Google menyatakan diri menghentikan dukungan terhadap Internet Explorer 6 atau IE6 dan browser-browser web tua. Mulai 1 Maret 2010, situs Google dan sejumlah layanannya tidak lagi bisa tampil dengan browser-browser tersebut. "Banyak perusahaan lain yang sudah menghentikan dukungan terhadap browser lama seperti Internet Explorer 6.0, termasuk browser yang sudah tidak didukung perusahaan pembuatnya. Mozilla has released its first release candidate, RC1, for Firefox 3.6 . The new version includes Personas, which lets people customize the browser's appearance; blocks third-party software from encroaching on its file system turf to increase stability; and perhaps most significantly given the competitive threat from Google Chrome, shortens start-up time and improves responsiveness and JavaScript performance. Mozilla has admitted the next point release of its Firefox browser, slated for release this month, won't appear until some time in Q1 2010 and the next major release, originally targeted for the middle of next year, is likely to slip into 2011. Here is an excellent news for Mozilla Firefox users. Almost all Firefox users complain about its look which is not good compared to other browsers like Google Chrome, IE8, etc. IE8 provides Aero Glass under Windows Vista and 7 but Mozilla Firefox doesn't.
