KANAL di YouTube kembali gegar, pihak terkait di Indonesia pun cukup cekatan. Tidak bertele-tele judul 'Innocence of Muslims' di YouTube pun telah dihilangkan oleh pihak admin menyambut protes dari berbagai negara termasuk Indonesia yang telah menginstruksikan untuk 180 ISP menutupkan akses ke video tersebut. "This video is not available in your country," begitulah tulis YouTube di alamat video tersebut. Semenjak film yang berdurasi kurang lebih 14 menit itu memang telah melukai hati umat Islam di dunia, selain pelecehan, berbagai sangkalan kotor dialamatkan untuk muslim dunia.

Beberapa video di bawah ini saya temukan hanya iseng-iseng saja di YouTube, namun setelah saya lihat dengan saksama muatan dari video yang berisi iklan tersebut sungguh menyentuh hati. Semoga video di bawah ini bisa Anda sikapi dan ambil pelajaran penting dalam hidup ini.

Kabar tidak sedap kembali menimpa, email yang mengatasnamakan layanan dari YouTube kembali terjaring dalam kotak masuk (inbox). Eksistensi Yahudi di Indonesia ternyata tidak hanya nampak di Synagog Surabaya . Di Manado, komunitas Kristen Pantekosta melestarikan agama dan tradisi Yahudi. New York Times dalam liputannya beberapa waktu lalu menyoroti eksistensi Yahudi Manado bertajuk “In Sliver of Indonesia, Public Embrace of Judaism.” Sebuah menorah raksasa setinggi 62 kaki, dan mungkin yang terbesar di dunia, baru saja dibangun. Menorah milik pemerintah daerah setempat ini melintasi pegunungan dan melewati kota Manado. Menorah adalah salah satu lambang suci peribadatan Yahudi. Bendera-bendera Israel terlihat di pelataran ojek dekat tugu menorah raksasa. Salah satunya terletak di dekat sebuah sinagog yang dibangun sekitar enam tahun lalu. Langit-langit menorah tersebut berbentuk Bintang Daud ( David Star ) yang sangat besar. Semua fasilitas itu dibiayai oleh kas pemerintah daerah setempat.

The key feature of the new version is the the ability to customize the application. Opera 11 will support extensions, apart from the widgets that the current version already supports. Firefox and Chrome already allows users to add their extensions. Opera 11 will allow several extensions with its new browser. You may come across a new new terminology while browsing the web and then you can search the Wikipedia extension for that. If you like to know how many people read the article that you are currently reading, you can use Reddit extension. Similarly, there are other extensions for Facebook , YouTube etc.

YouTube is under attack from a user named 'ebaumsworld' who has placed malicious links in the comments are of the website. Several videos on the web have been under the attack. Though it is common for users to place links that redirect other users to other websites and pop-ups but the recent posts by 'ebaumsworld' and '4chan' has lead to various disturbing and abusive videos and pop-ups that can pose a potential virus threat for the users. Photo: AP Google, perhaps the only company with the clout and users to take on the seemingly unassailable Facebook, is reportedly working secretly on "Google Me", a product that would go head-to-head with the social networking giant. The founder of popular link-sharing site Digg, Kevin Rose, kicked off a round of feverish speculation this week by tweeting that he had heard a "huge rumour" from a "very credible source" that Google was going to launch a Facebook competitor "very soon". Rose has since removed the tweet, saying he was asked to do so. Adam D'Angelo, former CTO of Facebook and now co-founder of social Q&A site Quora, added fuel to the fire by declaring "This is not a rumour. This is a real project". He claimed to have received information from "reliable sources".

Pakistan mulai mengawasi beberapa website terkenal dalam upayaa untuk memblokir konten yang dianggap anti-Islam, salah satunya adalah Google. Tujuh website utama, yaitu Google, YouTube, Amazon, MSN, Hotmail dan Bing dari Microsoft akan dimonitor dan 17 website lain yang kurang diketahui telah diblokir di bawah perintah pengadilan karena tuduhan adanya material yang berbau penghinaan agama, menurut juru bicara Otoritas Telekomunikasi Pakistan. Gerakan ini mengikuti pemblokiran sementara yang dikenakan Pakistan pada Facebook pada bulan Mei. Dia menambahkan: “Jika tautan (link) tertentu yang mengandung konten ofensif muncul di website ini, tautan tersebut akan diblokir sesegera mungkin tanpa mengganggu website utamanya. Scott Robin, juru bicara Google, merespon balik bahwa perusahaan itu bermaksud memonitor bagaimana kebijakan baru tersebut akan mempengaruhi layanan Google.

Bloggers like to think they now control the nation's news agenda--but they don't. 99% of the stories blogs link to are produced by mainstream media, according to the latest study from the Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism . Pew's findings—based on a year's worth of data analyzing the top stories on millions of blogs and social media pages, Twitter and YouTube—does show how new media websites can influence the overall impact of news stories, and the ways in which new media news storylines differ from the traditional press. For instance: Newspapers and broadcast networks generated more than 99% of the stories linked to by bloggers , and 87% of those stories were news reports rather than Op/Ed pieces. But there were only 13 times when blogs and the mainstream press had the same top story , the most-overlapping of which was "the U.S. economic crisis (five weeks in all)." The Pakistani government blocked access to YouTube on Thursday because of "sacrilegious" content on the video-sharing website, signaling a growing Internet crackdown against sites deemed offensive to the country's majority Muslim population. The move against YouTube came a day after the government blocked access to Facebook amid anger over a page on the social networking site that encourages users to post images of Islam's Prophet Muhammad. The page sparked criticism because Islam prohibits any images of the prophet. The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority did not point to specific material on YouTube that prompted it to block the site, only citing "growing sacrilegious contents." The government took action against both Facebook and YouTube after it failed to persuade the websites to remove the "derogatory material," the regulatory body said in a statement.

"Itu adalah perintah yang serius karena mereka meminta kami melakukan itu secepatnya dan segera memberitahukan (pemblokiran) itu kepada mereka," katanya kepada Reuters.

Have you noticed the new " like " button , tucked in the " Comment " and " Share " options?  For any Facebook users, "like" button is just another feature that they find in Twitter and Digg, which allows them to share content with their social networks . When you click the Like button, a Link to that page is added to your Facebook profile and a story is shared with your friends . The new function will allow users to signal the content that they like on sites around the Internet . However, its not as simple as it looks, as users might be tricked into "Like" ing pages that they don't like at all. Setelah sukses mengembangkan sistem operasi Android, kali ini Google berancang-ancang meluncurkan web televisi atau web TV yang juga berbasis Android. Social-networking star Facebook surpassed Google to become the most visited website in the United States for the first time last week, industry analysts showed. Facebook’s homepage finished the week ending March 13 as the most visited site in the country, according to industry tracker Hitwise. The “important milestone,” as described by Hitwise director of research Heather Dougherty, came as Facebook enjoyed a massive 185 percent increase in visits in the same period, compared to the same week in 2009. By comparison, visits to search engine home Google.com increased only nine percent in the same time — although the tracker does not include Google property sites such as the popular Gmail email service, YouTube and Google Maps.

Anggota Militer Amerika Serikat yang berada di markas Departemen Pertahanan, Pentagon akhirnya diperbolehkan untuk mengakses Facebook, Twitter dan Youtube. Sebelumnya sejak tahun 2007, Departemen pertahanan AS melarang seluruh anggota militer membuka situs-situs yang dinilai berisiko menimbulkan ancaman keamanan jaringan. Pejabat Departemen Pertahanan AS menyadari bahwa manfaat jejaring sosial lebih besar ketimbang resiko ancaman keamanan. Dahulu akses terhadap situs-situs jejaring pertemanan diblokir seluruhnya oleh pentagon. Tapi kebijakkan baru ini tidak serta merta langsung membuka seluruh akses terhadpa Facebook, Twitter ataupun Youtube. Sewaktu-waktu Pentagon masih akan melakukan blocking untuk kepentingan sebuah misi keamanan atau penghematan bandwidth.

Angka ini cukup jauh jika dibandingkan dengan hasil pencarian yang berkaitan dengan Pangeran William dan Harry, yang masing-masing hanya menghasilkan 673.000 dan 823.000 hasil pencarian.
