Google Inc. Chief Executive Eric Schmidt told a group of editors Sunday that he is confident that newspapers will find new ways to make money online by harnessing the vast reach of the Internet. Media executives have accused Google of draining readers and advertising from newspapers' Web sites. But in a speech to open the annual conference of the American Society of News Editors, Schmidt said Google recognizes that newspapers are vital to democracy and provide a critical source of online content. "We understand how fundamental your mission is," he said. Schmidt predicted that the news business will find a new model, based on a combination of advertising and subscription revenue. He said Google hopes to facilitate that, but he offered no specifics.

According to a Beijing-based press association, the email accounts of foreign journalists in China and Taiwan got hacked. Recently, Google got into a row with Chinese authorities because Gmail accounts based China have been hacked. The Foreign Correspondents' Club of China (FCCC) reported eight cases of hacking of Yahoo Email accounts in China. The company condemned this Cyber attack. A reporter of Irish Times complained that he got an error message while he tried to log into Yahoo. FCCC charged Yahoo for not giving the user about the information of possible cyberattack. Yahoo has not answered the FCCC's questions about the attacks, nor has it told individual mail users how the accounts were accessed," a spokesman told the news agency.

Berita kurang sedap marak terdengar akhir-akhir ini, Blogger sedang gencar menghapus blog, bahkan ada yang sampai akun blog, oleh karena itu berhati-hatilah! Trus bagaimana cara mengantisipasi agar blog tidak dihapus oleh blogger? sebagai pihak yang menumpang tidak ada cara yang benar-benar ampuh untuk menangkal agar blog tidak dihapus oleh blogger, namun ada beberapa tips yang mungkin bisa dilakukan untuk sedikit mengurangi kemungkinan dihapusnya blog oleh blogger atau sekedar mengurangi dampak fatal setelah di hapus.

Google telah meng-update browser Chrome versi 5 untuk system Windows dan Mac. Google akan merlis Chrome versi 5 sebelum bulan Februari 2010. Tidak seperti versi 4.x, developer Google membangun Chrom 5.x memiliki penampilan yang berbeda. Beberapa theme tidak tampil secara full, dan terdapat fitur berbeda di samping tombol toolbar, sebuah tab halaman baru, dan icon menu halaman telah digantikan dengan icon menu Tools. Tampaknya user akan melihat problem lain dalam browser tersebut hingga Google membuat penyempurnaannya. Browser Chrome 5.x ini juga dilengkapi perbaikan bug dan beberapa fitur. Jendela Content Settings di menu Options memiliki banyak aturan cookies, images, JavaScript, plug-ins, dan pop-ups. Fitur tersebut memudahkan user untuk memblokir situs. Selain itu, juga terdapat link non-functional yang digunakan untuk mengkustomisasi Adobe Flash Player.
