Perseteruan antara politisi PDIP Gayus T Lumbuun dengan politisi Demokrat, Ruhut Sitompoel di rapat-rapat Panitia Khusus (Pansus) angket Bank Century makin sengit. Bahkan kata-kata kotor keluar pada rapat Pansus dengan agenda mendengar keterangan dari tiga mantan petinggi Bank Indonesia yang digelar hari ini. Adapun mantan pejabat BI yang dihadirkan adalah mantan Deputi Gubernur BI Rusli Simanjuntak, Maman Sumantri dan Maulana Ibrahim. Perang mulut mengemuka ketika Gayus yang memimpin rapat, dianggap oleh Ruhut tak adil dalam memberi jatah waktu kepada anggota Pansus untuk menyampaikan pertanyaan. Ruhut menilai Gayus membiarkan anggta Pansus dari FPDIP berlama-lama dalam menyampaikan pertanyaan.

Everyone is clamoring about tablets these days— ourselves included —so it's not too surprising that Google and HTC are set to join the fray. They are reportedly working together on a Chrome OS Google Tablet. Smarthouse, an Australian publication, reports that HTC and Google have been collaborating "for the past 18 months" and have produced "several working models of a touch tablet," including one outfitted with Google's  Chrome OS.  We wrote why a  Google Tablet would be a good idea  last month, and with the Apple Tablet discussion reaching a fever pitch, it's harder and harder to get excited about a  Chrome OS netbook  from Google. Having collaborated on the  Nexus One , a smart phone that  impressed us  with its design as well as its hardware, HTC and Google partnering on a tablet seems like a promising prospect. But will it "compete head on" with Apple's tablet as Smarthouse claims? Probably not.

Gowalla is a location based web app that lets your friends know where you are checking in. It focuses on ranking locations based on how many people check in and check out -- which helps you find a good place to eat, shop or play. Also it mostly requires that you have your iPhone handy so you can check in to get coffee or grab some milk. Have you used Foursquare? Lets pretend Foursquare is Facebook and Gowalla is Twitter. Why did you start using Twitter? Because it is simple, it does one thing very well, maybe better than the competition. Its light and fast. Same with Gowalla, it takes what you use already, simplifies it and then makes it function better, look better, and feel better.

Adobe Reader and Flash will surpass Microsoft Office applications as favorite targets of cybercriminals, a security vendor predicted Tuesday. In unveiling its 2010 Threat Predictions report, McAfee said the growing popularity of the Adobe products has attracted the attention of cybercriminals, who have been increasingly targeting the applications. Adobe Reader and Flash are two of the most widely deployed applications in the world. As a result of Adobe's success in client software, McAfee Labs believes "Adobe product exploitation will likely surpass that of Microsoft Office applications in 2010."

Google has lost in its attempt to prevent a Canadian Website from using the domain name Groovle.com. The National Arbitration Forum (NAF), which is accredited by Internet overseer ICANN, has dismissed Google's complaint against Groovle.com operator 207 Media. The complaint was filed in November. Google had objected to the site's domain name, arguing that it was "confusingly similar" to its Google trademark. Groovle.com, founded by Canadians Jacob Fuller and Ryan Fitzgibbon in 2007, provides Internet start pages that people can customize with their own photos. The three-person NAF panel agreed with 207 Media that the name of its site was sufficiently different to avoid confusion with Google. "Accordingly, it is ordered that the Groovle.com domain name remain with respondent," the panel said in its decision.
